Over the past 30+ years I have provided strategic planning, direction, and writing services for comprehensive marketing plans, public relations campaigns, promotional materials, advertising programs, websites, electronic newsletters, and internet promotions.
I have marketed a broad variety of products and services, from 16-foot catamarans to 130-foot luxury yachts, plus historical societies, schools, artisans, house cleaning services, vacation camps, historic properties, land trusts, caterers, mortgage companies, banks, restaurants, beauty salons, yoga studios, and much more.
Previous to starting my own firm, I worked as Marketing Director for J-Class Management of Newport, Rhode Island. While there I developed and administered international marketing programs for the charter and sale of select classic yachts, the most notable of which were the historic J-Class Sloops Endeavour and Shamrock V.
Working as Vice President of WordWorks, a public relations firm in Providence, Rhode Island, I supervised account managers, art and production personnel as well as serving as account manager to several of my own clients in a wide variety of businesses.
I also have extensive corporate marketing experience. As Director of Marketing at the O’Day Corporation, I directed all facets of marketing. Public relations functions included news releases, special events, dealer awards, mailings and product manuals. Advertising responsibilities included brochures, ad slicks, fliers, other collateral materials and show displays.
While under the employment of O’Day, I also organized and directed three owner associations. Related duties included publishing numerous newsletters. Most notable was the Prindletter, which under my direction, grew from 4 to 40 pages, with circulation growth from 200 in California to 5,000 worldwide.
